Variable message signs
Variable Message Signs are luminous signs located along the motorway and at entry points (exits and toll stations, junctions with other roads) to warn motorists of dangers ahead and to provide traffic information along the way.
They provide concise information in case of potential hazards to motorists, with reference to traffic, accidents, weather conditions, and road works and, in addition to wording, pictogrammes and road signage, they can serve to signal dangerous conditions or events.
The messages on display are managed by the Info Radio Centre that, thanks to advanced technology, provide almost real-time updates to the whole motorway network managed directly by our Company. Moreover, thanks to agreements with other motorway companies, the panels provide information on relevant motorway sections that run in proximity of the ones managed by Autovie Venete S.p.A. in case of significant occurrences.
